Vans Downtown Showdown

At venues in London, Paris, Amsterdam and Hamburg, Black Sparrow recreated the legendary Vans Downtown Showdown founded in Paramount Studios, LA. Each year's course was painstakingly put together with custom obstacles from the likes of Cliché Skateboards, Death, Element, Antiz Skateboards, Element Europe and Palace.

Each year's event also incorporated a secondary focus, whether it be art (Jay Howell, Russ Pope & French), music (Suicidal Tendencies) or film (Bones Brigade). A full digital broadcast of the event reached its highest wider and wider audiences as the contest’s reputation for never failed to push boundaries.
